Metroscope
Installation and 44 pen drawings
Metroscope is a project that traces migratory fluxes within a city. I used an upright TV to play back videos of rush-hour traffic taken from a bird's-eye view in locations around Milan. It is like an animated diorama that lets us observe the apparently chaotic flow of people. By placing a transparent template over the TV screen I can trace the trajectories of cars and people in movement. The result is aa series of drawings where colourful bundles of lines record the traces we leave behind in our daily lives.
Location: Diesel Style Lab store, Milano / Curated by Raffaella Guidobono
